Overview - Stikliai Hotel
The 5 star deluxe Stikliai hotel is located on a quiet residential street in the heart of the old town of Vilnius, which is UNESCO listed. Old architecture, cobblestoned streets and genuine charm are all parts of Stikliai experience.
This intimate 'Relais & Chateaux' hotel is only a few steps away from Vilnius University, one of the oldest in Eastern Europe, President palace, the Town hall, numerous churches, museums, restaurants and souvenir shops. The hotel is situated in the former Jewish quarter, on the corners of Gaono and Stikliu streets, named for the artisan glassblowers, who kept small shops as early as the 16th century. Stikliai in Lithuanian means glassblowers. In the 17-18th centuries the house belonged to the church, who opened a tavern ton the site rented the apartments to the rich merchants. The buidling suffered from frequent fires and has undergone several reconstructions. The recent reconstruction was carried out by the new owners-the Stikliai Company.
Nowadays it's nicely decorated hotel of charm and warmth, it's refined interior is like a small castle in Vilnius' old town.
Being located in the old town area, the hotel is easily accessible from the International airport and is within 5 minutes walk from the centre of the city.
Accommodation
The Stikliai Hotel has 44 rooms with air-conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, mini-bar, hairdryer and there are specially adapted rooms for the disabled.Some rooms are non-smoking. Amongst the facilites there is a
safe, boutique, laundry, fitness club, lift, guarded parking, room service and conference room.
Restaurants and Bars
The hotel has an internationally acclaimed restaurant offering a wide range of French cuisine. Located in the courtyard, the restaurant seats 80 people in delightful surroundings under a glass roof.
Two banqueting halls can seat from 12 to 40 guests, they are ideal for breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktail parties.
The vaulted cellar houses a restored tavern, where traditional Lithuanian and European dishes are served.
